ATAL Tinkering Lab

Realizing the need to create scientific temper and cultivate the spirit of curiosity and innovation among young minds, The Government of India has setup the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) at NITI Aayog. Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) proposes to support the establishment of Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATL). ATL is a workspace where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands-on do-it-yourself mode and learn innovation skills.

Continuing forward the process and following this scheme to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young innovators, The Atal Tinkering Lab was set up and inaugurated on August 18, 2018 at MDN Public School, Rohtak.

We have organized a Teacher Training Session on Basic electronic activities to cultivate the spirit of innovation among the teachers in Atal Tinkering Lab.

In order to teach students essential 21st-century skills and developing their professional and personal skills, Introduction of basic electronic components and their use with the help of different Breadboard activities has been completed in the school. These activities include:

1. Simple LED glowing circuit on breadboard.
2. Seven segment display on breadboard.
3. Brightness control of LED.
4. RGB LED glowing using Breadboard.
5. Introduction to Arduino Uno microcontroller.

Apart from above activities, students are still working on problem solving ideas and few innovative projects based on Arduino and everything is going on very well to achieve the goals of “Make In India”project and hope for great future ahead.
